Sparking a city-wide conversation

As the centre-piece of the 2025 Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, curated by Thomas Heatherwick, the Humanise Wall was designed with the aim to spark a city-wide conversation about how to make our cities more joyful, engaging, and human. Alongside a series of events and public programmes, the 90m long, 16m high Humanise Wall brings together stories, provocations, world-leading research, and local creator contributions into a rich tapestry of ideas to spark discussion on local architecture and the built environment.

The Humanise Wall was designed by Heatherwick Studio alongside an international team of structural engineers, visual designers, and contractors, with engagement from the local community. Working closely with Heatherwick Studio, Morse Studio collaborated on the wall’s graphic design – bringing the messages to life through large-scale typography, colour, and imagery.
